Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

The hallmark feature of GAD is excessive and persistent worry about a variety of things, including social and occupational matters. This worry is difficult to manage and present for at least several months.


The following are common symptoms associated with generalized anxiety:

  •    Excessive nervousness or anxiousness
  •    Unrealistic worry about bad things that might happen
  •    Restlessness or feeling keyed-up or on edge
  •    Changes in sleeping pattern
  •   Irritability
  •   Difficulty concentrating or "mind going blank"
  •    Becoming fatigued easily
  •    Muscle tension
